Jasmin Paris • The University of Edinburgh veterinary lecturer was a big name in fell and skyrunning circles even before 2024. Records in the Bob Graham, the Ramsay Round and, most strikingly, the 268-mile Spine Race, which she won outright in 2019, saw to that. But becoming the first woman to do what race creator Laz Lake said would never be done, and complete the Barkley Marathons, made the 41-year-old a global star.
